DISTRICT GOALS

- The district will train all faculty and administration in the Character Strong curriculum to prepare for the district-wide implementation with students in the 2025-26 school year.
- To complete all goals and action steps outlined for completion in year 2 of the 5-year strategic plan by June 2025.
- To enhance student perception in identified areas for improvement based on student surveys, we aim to increase positive responses by a minimum of 5%. Our efforts will be concentrated on addressing key concerns, including communication, engagement, and the quality of feedback, to ensure targeted improvements in these specific areas.
- Reduce the percentage of students scoring "Not Meeting" or "Partially Meeting" expectations on all NJSLA assessments for ELA and Mathematics by at least 10%, or bring the proportion below 10%.
- The district will train all faculty and administration in the Character Strong curriculum to prepare for the district-wide implementation with students in the 2025-26 school year.

- The district will implement a systems-based Positive Behavioral Student Support program for implementation in all schools while simultaneously expanding upon current levels of understanding and implementation of Social and Emotional support practices for students, staff, and self.
- To finalize research process with respect to aligning the middle and high school schedules thereby creating a later start time for a prospective implementation for September 2024.
- The district will meet and/or exceed the established federal accountability proficiency rates for English Language Arts and Math as determined by student performance on the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments.
- The district will increase AP student enrollment in AP for the 2024-25 school year by 10% (> 385 students in grades 9-12).

- The district will engage and complete a 5-year strategic plan process to present to the community no later than September 2023.
- The district will work toward consistency in providing a high-quality student educational experience through the review and refinement of grading practices, lesson planning, staff observation, evaluation, and effective student support services.
- The district will research and select a systems-based Positive Behavioral Student Support program for implementation in all schools for the 2023-24 school year while simultaneously expanding upon current levels of understanding and implementation of Social and Emotional support practices for students, staff, and self.
- The district will place a concerted focus on the engagement of families, including the implementation of a parent seminar series on topics including HIB, Digital Citizenship, curriculum, and Health Education.

The district will ensure the strategic alignment of the district, school, department, and staff goals, informed by the collection and application of student growth data, thereby increasing student achievement across content areas.
